U.S. Govt.: Are you working?

Citizen: No.

U.S. Govt.: Well, are you looking for work?

Citizen: No, because there are no jobs.

U.S. Govt.: Congratulations, you are not unemployed!

Sound screwy? But it's true. According to Federal guidelines, if you are unemployed "not working" and are not looking regardless of the reason, you are not counted in the over 10% unemployment rate reported by the government. You remember the one where if we pass the one trillion dollar ponzi scheme stimulus spending bill the unemployment rate will not go over 8%. The one which in reality is approaching 17% when you include those who have simply given up looking for work.

So, with 1/3rd of the money is spent, the unemployment rate is over 10% (up about 3% from when the bill was introduced) we could be seeing 15% "unemployment" with 20% of our country unemployed when you include those who just give up. So remember those brave Democrats who pushed this scheme through the Congress and the President who never ran a business and as Vice President once said,"The Presidency is not an on the job training position." Thanks, Joe, for once they should have listened to you.
