The Progressive's Liturgy ...
If you are familiar with the liturgy of the church, be it Catholic, Episcopal, or Anglican; you are familiar with the response,"Hear Our Pray Oh Lord." Well, now the progressives are bowing at the alter of Obama with the following:
Reading from the book of Jeremiah, from the Old Testament (with a few changes), the femalepriest priestess(?) calls the "prayer" where the crowd responds, "Hear Our Cry O' Ba ma."
To further insult belivers of the Word, she continues to raise Dr. Martin Luther King to the position of "prophet" as she continues this liberal liturgy. A good man and a leader of the Baptist church, where all believers are considered "saints", but
"prophets" not so much!

Liberal Liturgy, Part 2 "23rd Splam"
The 23rd Splam
by: Sam the Pslamist, Toronto, Ontario
The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures,
He leadeth me beside the still waters,
He restoreth my credit and consolidateth my debts,
For as little as $1,750,
If I act now.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: for thou art with me,
Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.
And can now be 50 Percent Larger in Three Weeks.
Guaranteed.
Thou preparest a table before me
In the presence of mine enemies,
Thou annointest my head with oil,
My cup runneth over.
But as an added bonus,
I will receive $1,000.00 cash,
If I complete thy online registration form today.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me,
All the days of my life,
And I will dwell forever,
In the House of the Lord,
Which I shall refinanceth,
To take advantage,
Of the lowest mortgage rates in years.

Oh, I See Better Now...
From an old CNN Report:
This is much more recent (like today).
From The Hill:
Neil Barofsky, soon to be former Special Inspector General over the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), will testify to Congress that the government's "basic attitude" on the transparency and accountability of the program "remains a significant frustration."
From USA Today:
The $787 billion economic recovery package also is stimulating growth in the federal government as agencies hires twenty five thousand workers and spend millions of dollars to oversee and implement the recovery package, according to government records.
From The Washington Times:
Senate Finance Committee Democrats Wednesday denied a Republican amendment to wait 72hours and require a full cost estimate before the final committee vote on the almost one trillion dollar health care bill.
Looks like the administrations bed buddies are getting "itchy."

O.K., Now Break out the "brown costumes"
By the way, here are the words so you can sing along:
(Finger popping is optional)
Um, Um, Um Barak Hussein Obama..
He said we all must make ammends
and make this country strong again!
Barak Hussein Obama!
He said you must be good today,
equal work means equal pay...
Barak Hussein Obama!
He said we must take a stand,
to make sure everyone gats a chance...
Barak Hussein Obama!
He said, red or yellow, black or white,
All are equal in his sight...
Barak Hussein Obama! Yes,
Barak Hussein Obama!
(Last verse with apologies to whoever wrote Jesus loves the little children.)
This is where he ascends into the clouds....
By the way, this isn't the first indoctrination attempt. Here's an earlier example:
You mean you just spent $800 Billion dollars...and all I got was this stupid tee shirt?

He was right after all...

...as if there was any doubt.
Whether the "health bill" does or does not extend coverage to "illegals who entered the country and stay here illegally" as Mr. Obama said it would not, the question is what is his intent? And Rep. Wilson's statement turns out to be....correct.
Today's Washington Times carries this quote to the Hispanic Caucus,by President Obama, "Even though I do not believe we can extend coverage to those who are here illegally, I also don't simply believe we can simply ignore the fact that our immigration system is broken. That's why I strongly support making sure folks who are here legally have access to affordable, quality health insurance under this plan, just like everybody else."
Next stop on the Obama Express?.... Amnestyville, USA .....whoooo, whooo....chugga-chugga-chugga. Anyone feel like they're being railroaded yet?

Now, how do we avoid this trainwreck?

Er, Mr. Carter you may want to reconsider that "racists" charge...
...this was a commentary from the Democrat convention about one year ago:
Now, Mr. Cracker, who's the racist? Somebody get the president his medicine.

Hey, Big Brother...
The White House is collecting and storing comments and videos placed on its social-networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube without notifying or asking the consent of the site users, a failure that appears to run counter to President Obama's promise of a transparent government and his pledge to protect privacy on the Internet.
All I Can say is..."Come And Take IT!"
Buddy, Can You Spare A Dime, how about 17,610 Dimes?

According to sources at CBS, and remember they're in Obama's corner, the current administration concluded that the cap and trade law would cost American taxpayers about $200 billion a year, the equivalent of raising personal income taxes by about 15 percent. That equates to about $1,761.00 per family per year before inflation...as gold reaches an all time high.
This just in from ABC News !

Well, file this under wha-da-ya-know ABC who has been in the tank with the current administration post this today on its Washington Tip Sheet:
"Dem Senator Warns of 'Big, Big Tax' on Middle Class in Baucus Bill"
the article states:
"The Baucus proposal would impose, starting in 2013, a 35 percent excise tax on insurance companies for "high-cost plans" -- defined as those above $8,000 for individuals and $21,000 for family plans.~ Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-W.Va)"
"The West Virginia Democrat worries, however, that a lot of middle class workers, like the coal miners in his state, will end up facing "a big, big tax" under the Baucus bill because they currently enjoy generous employer-provided health care benefits which they receive tax free."
It appears Senator Jay is either being racist for demeaning the President's health care bill. He may be like a rat abandoning a sinking ship, with hopes of re-election swirling in his head. Or maybe they're just beginning to come apart at the seams...
see below
From the Las Vegas Sun: "Sen Harry Reid: Health care bill won’t work for Nevada" Same ship different rat!
Say wha....?

Just after eight month's of "bringing the country together" President Obama's legacy appears to be driving a wedge into years of racial harmony in the nation. Anyone objecting to the liberal policies of the Democrat left, is now simply being a racist! Liberal columnist,Maureen Dowd, has exposed her ultra hearing by stating she heard Rep. Joe "Hold That Thought" Wilson of shouting "You Lie, BOY ." Now former President Jimmie "Peanut" Carter now is jumping on the Black and White Bandwagon....come on now, if you can't win the debate with facts, play the race card just doesn't work anymore.

Way to go, Joe!

WASHINGTON, DC – Vice President Joe Biden said this about Rep. Joe Wilson, South Carolina Congressman - not Mr. Valerie Plame, and that's another story. The congressman's outburst of truth during President Obama's health-care speech Wednesday night "demeaned the institution."
Joe shouted "You lie" when Obama said government funded health care would not mean insuring illegal immigrants.
Demeans the institution!?! How about demeaning the office of Vice President! How about demeaning all men named Joe! Here's a few
"Everybody was stunned," Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., said of Wilson's eruption. "It was just something that nobody had ever witnessed before. We all felt embarrassed." This from the brain whiz who called the stock brokerage, "Smith Barney Frank" a disgrace...and who must have a memory disorder if she can't remember Pres. Bush's 2005 State of the Union Address disruptions from the Democrat side of the aisle.
The Southern gentleman he is, Rep. Wilson offered "This evening I let my emotions get the best of me," he said in a statement. "While I disagree with the president's statement, my comments were inappropriate and regrettable. I extend sincere apologies to the president for this lack of civility."
"God luv ya, what am I talkin' about?" ~ Vice President Joe Biden
Just for equal time...here's Mr. President:

To everything, (spin, spin, spin) there is a season (spin, spin, spin)...
...with apologies to Roger McGuinn and the Byrds and to Moses, himself, who wrote it originally.
CEA chair Christina Romer spins so hard on her MSNBC segment to make good news of losing a net 216,000 jobs because it was an improvement over losses earlier in the year.
Yes, while a loss of 216,000 jobs is better than 700,000 jobs, those 700,000 jobs are still lost. The 216,000 loss in August is the result that there are fewer "jobs" to lose. Current losses are not an improvement, remember It was Ms. Romer who stated the stimulus bill was needed to keep the jobless rate under 8%. Here is the administration's own illustration:

Now, using their own numbers lets see how well the "stimulus" thing is working:

With the unemployment rate now at 9.7%, one can only wonder when the rise in unemployment will end, and what would have happened if the "stimulus" had been tax cuts and tax relief, rather than the "Hey, Big Spender" pork bill!

Charlie Gets wRangel'd

Politicians have a lot to remember with all that "impo'tent bidness" to do on your behalf, what with all those caps and trades and ways and means and taking care of your health care and all, what's a person to do! Well that explains why Rep. Charlie Rangel; (Democrat - Harlem,NY) had a slip of the memory.
Mr. Rangel filed an amended financial disclosure form, which exposes omissions from his 2002 through 2006 records , is a treasure trove of outrage.
He "forgot" to report two checking accounts, one with the Congressional Federal Credit Union and one with Merrill Lynch valued between $250,000.oo and $500,000.oo.
He also had a brain fart regarding tens of thousands of dollars he's earning from dividends from a number of mutual funds and stocks.and the money made from the sale of a Harlem townhouse.
How was he to remember his net worth was between $1,028,024 and $2,495,000 and not the reported $516,015 and $1,316,000. What do you think, he's chairman of Ways and Means or something? Oh wait-a-minute, HE IS CHAIRMAN OF WAYS AND MEANS... the House committee charge with all things financial!
Looks like Mr. Rangel should join the prestigious ranks with fellow ex-Congressmen like William "Ice Box" Jefferson (Democrat - New Orleans, LA)...who commandeered a National Guard boat during Hurricane Katrina to lead the recovery effort of several thousand dollars from his New Orleans home; or Charlie's predecessor, Rep. Adam Clayton Powell, who gave "Off Shore Accounts" in Bimini when he had his cremated ashes spread over his beloved island home - also repository for many questionable cash deposits.

Meet Mr. Jones.
Mr. Jones,Anthony "Van" Jones, is the Special Advisor for Green Jobs at the White House Council on Environmental Quality.
When he graduated law school, Jones gave up plans to take a job in Washington, D.C., and moved to San Francisco instead There he got involved with Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement (STORM), a group explicitly committed to revolutionary Marxist politics whose points of unity were revolutionary democracy, revolutionary feminism, revolutionary internationalism, the central role of the working class, urban Marxism, and Third World Communism.
Oh, did I mention he's an eloquent speaker and a sterling example of the Obama Administration's goal of "post partisan" politics. Here's a nice example.
Just gives you warm fuzzys, don't it!

Be Sure To Dress Your Kids In Brown On September 8th!

Have you heard of the President's plan to address ALL students from Kindergarten to 12th Grade on September 8th? Odds are you haven't. If you have a child in public school, maybe you should give the principal a ringy-dingy and ask them, "JUST WHAT THE H*LL IS GOING ON HERE!?!" ... Here's a part of the indoctrination plans for that day:
President Obama’s Address to Students Across America September 8, 2009
PreK-6 Menu of Classroom Activities: President Obama’s Address to Students Across America
Produced by Teaching Ambassador Fellows, U.S. Department of Education
September 8, 2009
Before the Speech:
• Teachers can build background knowledge about the President of the United States and his speech by reading books about presidents and Barack Obama and motivate students by asking the following questions:
Who is the President of the United States?
What do you think it takes to be President?
To whom do you think the President is going to be speaking?
Why do you think he wants to speak to you?
What do you think he will say to you?
• Teachers can ask students to imagine being the President delivering a speech to all of the students in the United States. What would you tell students? What can students do to help in our schools? Teachers can chart ideas about what they would say.
• Why is it important that we listen to the President and other elected officials, like the mayor, senators, members of congress, or the governor? Why is what they say important?
During the Speech:
• As the President speaks, teachers can ask students to write down key ideas or phrases that are important or personally meaningful. Students could use a note-taking graphic organizer such as a Cluster Web, or students could record their thoughts on sticky notes. Younger children can draw pictures and write as appropriate. As students listen to the speech, they could think about the following:
What is the President trying to tell me?
What is the President asking me to do?
What new ideas and actions is the President challenging me to think about?
• Students can record important parts of the speech where the President is asking them to do something. Students might think about: What specific job is he asking me to do? Is he asking anything of anyone else? Teachers? Principals? Parents? The American people?

Working Hard...For You!
In Connecticut and Kansas

House Minority Leader Lawrence F. Cafero Jr. of Connecticut speaks while colleagues play solitaire on their computers while the State House vote on the budget. Here's a close-up of these hard working servants of the voters!

Meanwhile, in Kansas, the state is poised for an unlikely distinction: It's about to get into the casino business, not merely by blessing gambling and taxing the profits but by becoming the legal owner of the casinos themselves. At least we know where the Connecticut legislature will be holding next year's planning conference!

Say, Mr. Chrysler, How Was That Cash For Clunkers Program?
The Good Old Chryslers...

While Cash for Clunkers helped foreign manufacturers, some bad news came to the bailed-out Chrysler corporation, this includes you, Mr. Taxpayer Investor.
Chrysler sales were down by 15% during the Cash for Clunkers give-a-way. Demonstrating the program wasn’t the success touted by the Obama administration.
The idea behind the scheme "Cash for Clunkers" aka "Taxes for Taxis" was to give Chrysler (and other car makers) a boost in sales in hopes of getting union workers back to work. The fall in Chrysler's sales during a period of "free money" shows how badly damaged the automakers reputation is, and many of the employees may soon find themselves out of a job for good.
Thanks Mr. Obama for making such a great investment on my behalf, now if we can only get this nifty Fiats on the Chrysler lot.
Fiat-Chryslers...old reliables?

Oh, by the way, the federal government still owes over $2.877 billion to dealers from the $3 billion "Cash for Clunkers" give-a-way. A Chicago television station broke recently exposed the realities of the program: "Out of 142 deals they owe us for, we've gotten paid on seven," a Hyundai dealer said. Also, from a Ford dealer, "We had 102 cash for clunkers. We've been paid for one." Billion Automotive sold close to a thousand vehicles but has only been reimbursed for 272 of them. "I wonder how long they'd wait if I owed them $3.2 million. I think they'd be at my door or at least my banker's door," Billion said.
