Too Much Time At Work?

Try this "Production Buster of the Week"
Now you, too, can have your own family crest. Not one of those ancient heraldry crests with who knows what on it. No, these represent the real you (or at least who you think yoy are) as mine does:

This just in.... March Nears End As Month Goes Out Like A Lamb!

Well, not exactly. This has been a great month for weather freaks.
Here's the weather news for March.
First, we had snow,

followed that same afternoon with, warm and sunny,

followed by tornadoes,

followed by, large hail (Which knocked the snot out of my azaleas and tomatoes),

followed by some kind of wierd "hail fog"

followed that same night with 4" per hour thunderstorms and flash flooding.

My phones received so many Channel 7 Storm ALERT! calls(6 in the last 18 hrs)
I just invited Mark Scirto over, since I figured he was running out of quarters. But, the good news is this, powers still on and it gave me the chance to clean these selections out of the record bin. The yard can wait 'till later.

How About Dem Gas Prices - Part 3

Contrary to what the Longview News sez, there are conservative political cartoonists. One of my favorites is Gary David.

I'm Pushin' It Out As Fast As I Can

But, I'm still in a negative output stage, due to a plethora of new "stuff"
including several Buddy Miles I've never seen or heard (Its amazing how popularity is boosted by passing away) and a bunch of Lowell Folsom albums from the '60's and 70's(coming soon). So get out your best catcher's mitt, cause here comes a big one!
First, I found this new music from Texas on a blog in Bosnia (yes it is virus free)

Here are two of the 4 examples of the Buddy system:

This is a 3 disc set from the guy who put out the 10 disc blues set a few years back!

A Special Sense of Balance

This is a neat thing to do on the next equinox, that's first day of Fall for you "calendar challenged" folks. Take an egg, fresher the better, find a level and stable platform - such as a porch, place the egg on end, and let the "fun" begin. This the 16th or 17th year I've done this and so far the earth's axis hasn't shifted one time. Mine's "been up" for over 8 hours today (should I consult a physician?).
So, if you are easy to entertain or simply a simple mind, try this next September or, if you're really adventurous, on the first day of summer - July 21st.

How about Dem Gas Prices. Part 2

Now here's a Dem really lookin' out for the average Joe!

A Michigan congressman wants to put a 50-cent tax on every gallon of gasoline to try to cut back on Americans' consumption.
Polls show that a majority of Americans support policies that would reduce greenhouse gases. But when it comes to paying for it, it's a different story.
Rep. John Dingell, Democrat-Mich.(Michigan has experienced a one state recession during the last 4 years due to its high taxes. "Come to Michigan, its good for business" - Jeff Daniels, actor and non-economist), wants to help cut consumption with a gas tax but some don't agree with the idea, according to a new poll by the National Center for Public Policy Research.
The poll, scheduled to be released on Thursday, shows 48 percent don't support paying even a penny more, 28 percent would pay up to 50 cents more, 10 percent would pay more than 50 cents and 8 percent would pay more than a dollar (and about 8% must be too uninformed to have an opinion).
"I don't want to pay more, I don't think anyone wants to," said Karen Deacon, a motorist.
Some environmentalists say pain at the pump may be bad for Americans, but good medicine for a sick planet.
But others say it wouldn't change much. Even if Americans abandoned their cars, global emissions would fall by less than one percent.
With gasoline prices passing historic highs, certainly this is a man with the poor's best interest at heart. Maybe Mr. Dingle needs a reality check.
