The "Scientist and Chief," science being decided at the presidential level. . .

... as internal e-mails, made public by the Competitive Enterprise Institute, stated Alan Carlin's boss at the Environmental Protection Agency told him in March that his material, showing evidence contrary to the "official line" would not be incorporated into EPA findings. Furthermore, the EPA ordered Carlin to stop working on the climate change issue.

High Court Reverses "Reverse Discrimination"!

The Supreme Court ruled Monday that white firefighters faced unlawful discrimination when their city threw out a promotion test after not enough minorities did well on it. The 5-4 ruling marked another reversal by the high court for Judge Sonia Sotomayor, nominee to the Supreme Court. Making the point, "Does Judge Sotomayor have the judicial integrety to sit on the nation's highest court?"

Here's the scoop from the Washington Times

Hero of the Day, Part 2

Just in case you missed this on your "main stream news cast" ...

Mr. Obama Joins Sides With Chavez and Castro,...

...says coup in Honduras is illegal. Zelaya, in office since 2006, was overthrown in a coup on Sunday after he angered the country's courts and Congress (and the army) by attempting to disregard the country's constitution that does not allow presidents to seek re-election beyond a four-year term. So much for not meddling in other country's affairs (except for Israel Palestine The West Bank).

Hero of the Day!!!!

Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) had a few choice words about House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's climate-change bill. When asked why he read portions of the cap-and-trade bill on the floor Friday night, Boehner told The Hill, "Hey, people deserve to know what's in this "pile of s--t." ~ From The Hill.com

Faces In The News...

...if the"Cap and Tax Spend Trade" Bill is so great, why aren't these men smiling? (One or two are smirking maybe?)

Maybe because Speaker Nancy Pelosi followed John Boehner's galant one man effort to stall the vote as callers jammed Congress phone lines, and closed the debate. She spoke only briefly to urge passage. "Just remember these four words: Jobs, jobs, jobs and jobs," she said, reinforcing her party's portrayal of the bill as good for the economy. And when the forces of unintended results kicks in as it usually does on any government run project, you can kiss those "Jobs, jobs, jobs and jobs" goodbye.
I think we have our strongest 2004 election talking point yet!

Also, remember Mr. Obama's campaign promise to "not raise taxes on anyone making less than $250K 125K? Well David Axelrod, President Obama's top political adviser, refused today to rule out the possibility that the White House might agree to a tax hike on health insurance plans that would hit middle-income Americans.

On today's "This Week" on ABC he declined to repeat Obama's "firm pledge" during the campaign that families making under $250,000 will not see "any form of tax increase, not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes." ~ From Washington Post

There is a traitor in our midst...

...as a matter of fact there are 8 traitors. The Democrats in the House of Representatives have voted to destroy the United States economy unilaterally with their "Cap and Trade" Law taxing almost every thing that uses energy (housing, autos, utilities, food and clothing manufacturers, get the idea?). The vote was 219-212 . Eight Republicans voted yes, and 44 Democrats "felt the heat" from their districts and voted no. Five had no balls at all, and did not vote.
Here is a list of the 8 Republicans who "crossed over" and a link to their websites. Give 'em a call and let them know how you feel.

Mary Bono Mack ~ of "I got you babe" fame.

Mike Castle of Delaware

Mark Kirk of ILLinois

Leonard Lance New Joisey's Pride n' Joy

Frank LaBiondo another Joisey guy

Chris Smith, yet another Joisyite - geesh they must be wantin' to run off the jobs in Joisey!

John McHugh good luck reaching him, his web page is off line.

Dave Reichart voted "best of Congress 'o8 " by Workin' Mother Media, obviously they won't be working long.

Mr. Gayson (D-FL) votes yes, cause as they say,"I got mine!"

Did you get yours? Well, you're about to.

No Special Treatment Allowed For Anyone...

...with a few exceptions, as the "Payoff Of The Vote '08" continues!
The Senate's proposal to impose taxes for the first time on health plans may bypass generous employee benefits negotiated by unions. Democrat Committee Chairman Max Baucus, the chief congressional advocate of taxing employer-provided benefits to help pay for an overhaul of the U.S. health system, says any change should exempt perks secured in existing collective- bargaining agreements, which can be in place for as long as five years.

As the wrecking of a nation continues...

Is That Your Tie Tucked Into Your Slacks...

...Or Are You Just Happy To See Me?

Waxman-Markey “Cap and Tax” bill (H.R. 2454)

Illustration courtesy of The Heritage Foundation

Henry Waxman's - Betsy Markey's “Cap and Tax" Bill Allocates More for Wildlife and Tropical Trees than for Jobless Americans. The bill sends American jobs to China and India, but sends Americans’ Dollars to wildlife, tropical forests and foreign aid.

Here's the Full Poop , at least as much as the bill allows.

"Well,...there you go again." ~ Ronald Regean

Well, here we do go again. On ABC's fluff piece promo on ObamaCare, the president opened the door to TAXING YOUR HEALTH BENEFITS, the same proposal he trashed John McCain on during the fall presidential campaign. You can place this "promise" in the trash bin, along with "I'll post all bills for five days for all to see" and "I will NOT raise taxes on anyone making less than $250K $125K" and "We have to have the stimulus package to keep us from double digit unemployment" and "this will create ___fill in the blank___ jobs".

And speaking of government run health care, call your U.S. Representative and Senators and ask them,"If this healthcare plan is so great for the U.S.A., why they aren't they being included in this plan?"

As for Mr. Obama, when asked if he would stay within the new system if his family had an urgent need for the best care available, he said that it’s my family member, if it’s my wife, if it’s my children, if it’s my grandmother, I always want them to get the very best care."

Now how hypocritical is this? Very Michael Dukakis like wouldn't you say? More at:
HotAir
To those moderates who wanted "hope and change," hold on tight the fun's just getting started, just wait for Cap and Trade and Immigration Reform.

Tomorrow night ABS News becomes the "Official Mouth Piece of the Obama Administration"

To h*ll with "Fair and Balanced" with the hour long "news special" on Obamacare "live from the White House" without any opposing views or equal time dissension, ABC officially becomes the mouth of the gov't. Any wonder their news viewership is going South? Remember, we are not Sheeple.

"DeathCare" may be more accurate

The recent "Spendulus" bill passed by Democrats ordered the creation of a "federal medical database of every American by 2014." Under the new "law" your medical treatments will be electronically tracked by a federal system, probably run by a "Czar" like Obama donor and "advisor" Jeff Immelt from General Electric. The goal is to "manage costs" and "guide" doctor’s decisions in your treatment.

Tom Daschle’s recent book on "nationalizing the health care inductry" serves as the Democrats' blueprint. It proposes to slow the development and use of new technologies and drugs to keep health care cost down. He praises Europeans for accepting "hopeless diagnoses" and also criticizes Americans for expecting world-class treatment from the U.S. health-care system.

He also admits in his book that Socialized Medicine "will not be pain-free". He insists that Seniors should accept the aging process and forgo expensive treatments.
Quite simply, the elderly will suffer most. There are many examples from Canada and Britain where access to medical technologies is carefully restricted and rationed.
In Britain, "comparative effectiveness" is used as a deadly tool to deny advanced drugs to patients suffering with breast cancer, Alzheimer's and Multiple Sclerosis under the banner of "cost savings".

What's next? With Democrat Socialized Medicine, assisted suicide is a certainty and euthanasia may be in the cards as well. So take your pick "do it yourself" or "we'll do it for you" isn't too far away...Logan's Run anyone?

Finally A Journalist Who Makes Sense ...

Charley Reese was born in Washington, Georgia, and was raised in Georgia, East Texas, and the Florida Panhandle. He worked summer and weekend jobs starting at age 11 and at age 13 became a janitor in a printing shop. In 1955 he started out in the newspaper business with a job as a cub reporter for Pensacola News. Later that year, he bought a one-way ticket to England, where he took a job as caption writer with Planet Newspapers Ltd. in London.

In 1957 Reese returned to America and served two years in the US Army as a tank gunner. He then went back to reporting before spending six years in advertising and public relations, even working as an advance man and speechwriter in various political campaigns from 1969 to 1971.

Charley Reese has been a journalist for 49 years. Here is a recent article by Mr. Reese:

545 PEOPLE
By Charlie Reese

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does.

You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash.

The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes..

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? Nancy Pelosi. She is also the leader of the majority party.

She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red .

If the Army & Marines are in IRAQ , it's because they want them in IRAQ

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.

There are no insolvable government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.

They, and they alone, have the power.

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.

Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.

Who'z Dazed and Confused?

Gerald Walpin, inspector general for the Corporation for National and Community Service (AmeriCorps), was recently fired without notice by the Obama administration. He received a call from the White House to either resign within the hour or be fired. Could the reason behind this dismissal be he was doing his job by reporting on the miss use of government funds by a large contributor to the Obama campaign? Mr Walpin led an inspection into misuse of funds by Kevin Johnson, a former NBA star who is now mayor of Sacramento, CA and who has started a foundation to help kids called the St Hope Academy. Johnson had apparently stolen federal funds that Americorp had given his organization. In a settlement St Hope has agreed to repay half of the money.

So, why does this firing even raise an eyebrow in the current political season? Well, then Senator Obama co sponsored a bill, now a law, requiring 30 days notice and a reason for the firing must be given to congress. The most ethical White House in history didn’t even notify congress until after the fact and gave no cause until Senator Claire McCaskill (D-MO) raised the issue that the proper procedure was not followed.

Here is Walpin on a recent television appearance, see if you think he acts “confused” and “disoriented.”

Even if he was "confused" and if this is a reason for being released from your duties, how does VeeP Joe Biden remain in office? Remember that lovable scamp from the recent election season, if not here's a refresher:

1O,OOO Reasons You Should Be Scared of Government Run Health Care...

The VA since February has been warning about 10,000 former patients, some who had colonoscopies as long ago as 2003, to get blood tests for HIV and hepatitis.

Read all about it here at My Way News.

The VA Healthcare system is incompetent and medicare is going broke and eliminating services...why in the world does any thinking person believe the federal government could provide decent health coverage?

One Useless P.O.S.

After the previous post, I went to the "Official Tax Cut Calcuator" website to see "Wha's happ'nin" at the Obama Tax Cut Calculator widget. This is the one Mr. Obama set up to show you how much more "moola" you'll save under his tax cut plan. You remember his plan don't you, it's the one that says "...if you're a nurse making $60K a year, you'll see a $1,000.00 cut under my plan comapred to $150.00 under McCain's..." Well, the widget's not working any more and when you put in the "embed widget" code you get this:

On second thought, that $150 is sounding a whole lot better than the current tax plan...suckers!

Now You Know Half Of The Story... Sorry Paul

Remember those Paul Harvey "Rest Of The Story" quips on radio? Here is one you didn't hear, but now you'll know "The Rest Of The Story" this one is called, The Next Big Democrat Lie ~ Lies Right Behind The Big Rock Candy Mountain, and it goes like this...

Charlie "Big Daddy" Rangel said that House Democrats will likely release more details about health policy changes in their legislation next week, the package of offsetting tax increases and spending cuts likely will come later. Democrats, he said, want to put forth the more-positive aspects of an overhaul first.
“We have a problem in not wanting to attract enough negative attention to the bill in terms of the pay-fors,” he said. “Let them get a good feel for the coverage.”

Here's the plain talk, you're only getting the "Big Rock Candy Mountain" part of their health care take over. Once you're sucked in, then they will give you the bitter pill, the House Health-Care Proposal adds $600 Billion in new taxes.

One evening as the sun went down
And the jungle fires were burning,
Down the track came a hobo hiking,
And he said, "Boys, I'm not turning
I'm headed for a land that's far away
Besides the crystal fountains
So come with me, we'll go and see
The Big Rock Candy Mountains.

In 2006, when Democrats were hoping to gain control of the Congress, party leaders were worked up over the issue of out-of-control federal spending. Speaker to be, Nancy Pelosi, called the Republican budget “irresponsible” and “unpatriotic” because it increased the amount of American debt held by foreign countries. Harry Reid (D-accused Republicans of going on “an unprecedented and dangerous borrowing spree” and declared Republican leadership “the most fiscally irresponsible in the history of our country … no other President or Congress even comes close.”

In the Big Rock Candy Mountains,
There's a land that's fair and bright,
Where the handouts grow on bushes
And you sleep out every night.
Where the boxcars all are empty
And the sun shines every day
And the birds and the bees
And the cigarette trees
The lemonade springs
Where the bluebird sings
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains.

In the Big Rock Candy Mountains
the jails are made of tin
And you can walk right out
again as soon as you are in
There ain't no short handled shovels,
no axes saws or picks
I'm a goin to stay
where you sleep all day
Where they hung the jerk
that invented work

In the Big Rock Candy Mountains

Geez Louise, do they think we have no memory?

Go Ahead And Pass National Health Care, But...

...who's going to treat the sick. The AMA, the nation's largest association of medical professionals has dead set against the plan. So, just imagine if the doctors reject this take over and refuse to a) accept the plan members or b) just give up practicing and retire. Then, who will take care of the sick? Will the government Brain trust require the to continue working against their will, or will we become just another third world nation. It amazes me, as socialist Europe turns right because of failed socialist policies, Amerika rushes headlong into these same failures. Read about it here:

This Just In....

... We now cut to SNL Special Reporter, Ms. Emily Letilla
Dateline PASADENA, CALIF. PASADENA, CALIF. — The most massive black hole yet weighed lurks at the heart of the relatively nearby giant galaxy M87.

The supermassive black hole is two to three times heftier than previously thought, a new model showed, weighing in at a whopping 6.4 billion times the mass of the sun. The new measure suggests that other black holes in nearby large galaxies could also be much heftier than current measurements suggest, and it could help astronomers solve a longstanding puzzle about galaxy development.

...Oh, I see...that kind of black hole, I thought Mr Obama was puttin' on weight, ...never mind!

Law of Unintended Consequences Raises Its Ugly Head

The law of unintended consequences, often cited but rarely defined, is that actions of people, especially of government, always have effects that are unanticipated or unintended.

Economists and other social scientists have heeded its power for centuries; for just as long, politicians and popular opinion have largely ignored it.

This in from the ASSociated PRess (formerly Big O's "in-house" PR arm):
"The Federal Reserve announced a $1.2 trillion plan three months ago designed to push down mortgage rates and breathe life into the housing market.

But this and other big government spending programs are turning out to have the opposite effect. Rates for mortgages and U.S. Treasury debt are now marching higher as nervous bond investors fret about a resurgence of inflation."

Are We Not Men? You Are Sheeple...

From the English version on Pravda. Yes, that Pravda:

" It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.

True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.

Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their "right" to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our "democracy". Pride blind the foolish.

Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different "branches and denominations" were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the "winning" side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the "winning" side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.

These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them? " ~ Pravda Online 6/1/2009

Well, you going to keep following as sheeple, or ...
