How About DEM Gas Prices - The Challenge

This week the Democrat controlled Congress defeated a bill which would allow the US to drill for known oil deposits off the coast of Florida. The party of the little guy has put it to us, again, just as gas prices hit an all time high at DOUBLE the price it was when they took office. But to add insult to all of this, CHINA is now drilling 50 miles off the coast of Key West, Florida. We can do better than this!
The challenge to you is to contact the Congress and tell them you do not want any more excuses why we can't use our own resources, which will take the power out of the hands of the commodity speculators who are driving up the oil futures. Now, here is my friend Chuck Norris with more on what you can do:

Again, I welcome ALL comments in the comments section for anyone who wishes to take up / defend the Democrats actions. Well...

How About DEM Gas Prices, Again.

The current oil crisis can go away for a whole generation if the Bakken oil region of the Northwest can be develpoed. There are an estimated 40 BILLION barrels of oil about a mile and a half down and Montana wants to get it AND build refineries to process it, without the federal government's help - thank you. Since the Democrat's gained the control of Congress after the 2006 election, gas prices are up about 1.75 a gallon and are approaching a record price of $4.00 gal.
Who says? Montana Gov. Brian Schweitzer(a Democrat no less) does, adding that his state - with fewer than 1 million residents - would be thrilled to bail the US out of its current energy predicament.
It's so much, in fact, that a discovery like that - or even hints of such a find - could ruin speculators' chances of getting the price of oil much higher than it already is. In fact, just the knowledge of such big oil deposits - together with a drop off in fuel use because of the recession and the inevitable development of alternative energy sources - might cause gasoline prices to fall substantially in the future.
As it is today, Americans are being cheated on the price of oil. I've been writing about this for the past couple of years and now even a do-nothing Congress is getting concerned.
Wall Street speculators, aided by cheap money from the Federal Reserve and an ill-informed press, have kidnapped oil in much the same way that the Hunt brothers cornered the silver market in the 1970s. But maybe if we start digging in Montana, we just might get our national dignity back - and even save our economy.
"We've been drilling out there for 70 years," said Schweitzer of the Bakken area. "People there like new oil production. In fact, the city of Sydney wants to build a refinery. Where else in America do you have a community that says, 'we want to build a refinery in our backyard?' "
With improved technology today and higher prices, this recovery method is now very feasible. "And the nice thing," Schweitzer said, "is it's one drill hole per section." For you city slickers, a "section" is a huge 640 acres.
What, were you expecting music, too?

Bo Diddley Dead At 79.
Bo Diddley died of heart failure today at his home in Archer, Fla. He was 79.
Diddley, whose signature beat influenced musicians from Buddy Holly to the Rolling Stones and U2 during a 40 year career. His cigar box shaped guitar – which he rigged with electronic gadgets to create his otherwordly tremolo sound and the Bo Diddley beat were essential to the rhythms of rock 'n' roll. Bo Diddley was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987. He had suffered stroke during a performance in Iowa last year and heart attack last August.
