I was lucky enough to see Jessie Mae Hemphill several years ago at King Biscuit Blues Festival in the 1990's. She's since passed, but she was considered on of the foremost Mississippi delta primitive blues performers. Here she is on Mr. Rodgers with fife and drum man, Othar Turner. Rare stuff, but it was your PBS tax dollars at work.
